Candle Safety

While our candles are designed to bring warmth and beauty to your home, it's important to follow these simple safety guidelines every time you burn them.

Before Lighting

Always remove all packaging before use.

Place your candle on a heat-resistant, stable surface.

Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn.

Keep the candle away from draughts, fans, and open windows to ensure an even burn.

While Burning

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

Burn candles away from curtains, furniture, and other flammable materials.

Leave at least 10cm of space between burning candles.

Do not move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is still hot.

Never burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time.

When to Stop Burning

Stop using the candle when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom.

Never allow the flame to burn all the way to the base, as this may cause the container or surface underneath to become excessively hot.

Decorative Pillar Candles

Many of our pillar candles are designed as decorative home décor pieces. If you choose to burn them, please place them on a large heat-resistant dish or tray to catch any melting wax, as they may drip depending on their shape and the surrounding environment.

General Safety

Extinguish the flame using a candle snuffer where possible.

Ensure the flame is completely out before leaving the room.

Never use water to extinguish a candle.

Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to help preserve their appearance.
